For National Women’s Day, HIPGive launched a fundraising campaign with Hispanics in Philanthropy that will match any donations to organizations by women called #GoMujeres.
HIPGive approached us to create a traditional informative video for their campaign. Next was to develop creative follow-up videos to supplement and push #GoMujeres. The follow-up videos needed to be different, fun, and made for shareability.
Solution
Working together with HIPGive, we brought in our screenwriter to help write some short, fun skits for the additional videos. The goal was to be funny and lighthearted in order to bring in new kind of engagement to their campaign that a traditional information video may not reach.
After storyboarding several different concepts, it came down to two great ideas: The “Overcompensating Male Ally” and “Coffee Competition.” The “Overcompensating Male Ally” was a great skit, as we got the awesome folks from HIPGive to act in it, along with one of our producers, Andrew Bigelow, to be that guy that just tries a little too hard. “Coffee Competition” starred those from HIPGive too, making these campaign videos work amazingly well together.
